Things are getting even more violent on Westworld season 2, according to the showrunners behind the series. It’s been almost a year since HBO’s newest critical darling, Westworld, first graced the small screen in October 2016, and there are a number of months to go until the series is back for season 2. With the science-fiction/western thriller having now won five Emmy Awards out of a record 22 nominations for its first season (tying for the most with Saturday Night Live), buzz for the show’s return is as high as ever. Filming on the highly-anticipated next chapter began back in July, with a tentative premiere date of spring 2018.
Season 1 of Westworld broke through television barriers with its use of music, visuals and acting to tell an intelligent and enthralling story that combined multiple genres.
