As a brand, The Walt Disney Company is currently stronger than ever. Their animated feature films like Finding Dory and Moana are big hits at the box office, almost 80 years after Walt Disney Pictures first began. And even their live-action remakes of Disney classics, like this year’s Beauty and the Beast are bringing new life to old favorites. Not to mention their ownership of TV networks like ABC and Freeform, as well as Marvel Studios and Lucasfilm.
Major franchises like Pirates of the Caribbean, the new Star Wars, and the Marvel Cinematic Universe are indeed all produced by The Walt Disney Company, and thus they’re also included (or will soon be included) in Disney’s theme parks worldwide.
