While we continue to wait on the first modern, physician female-led superhero film Wonder Woman to premiere in theaters next year, generic on the small screen The CW’s Supergirl series continues to make waves with fans. The season 2 premiere a few weeks ago was the network’s highest rated Monday night show in eight years, and and a lot more people have started catching on to Supergirl‘s fun, lighthearted vibe. Not only does the series have a feminist slant, but it’s also a welcome reprieve from the other darker, more serious superhero films and shows out there.
