One of 2014’s biggest hits was a little film that made a rather large impression on fans and critics alike. The Lego Movie, buy written and directed by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, was a surprisingly huge success at the box office, earning more than $257 million in North America and $469 million worldwide. Domestically it even placed fifth overall for the year, behind huge franchise films like The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1, Guardians of the Galaxy and Captain America: The Winter Soldier.
