Marvel - Black Panther

Marvel’s Black Panther Movie Finds Its Writer

Marvel’s first diverse superhero film will be Black Panther, starring Chadwick Boseman as T’Challa. And Joe Robert Cole is nearing a deal to write the script, which centers on the prince of the fictional African nation of Wakanda who becomes the leader after his father’s murder. Cole (also a writer on FX’s upcoming series American Crime Story) comes from Marvel’s in-house writers program, like Guardians of the Galaxy scribe Nicole Perlman. Black Panther premieres in theaters July 6, 2018. Tricia Helfer - Powers

Powers Adds Tricia Helfer for Season 2

Battlestar Galactica alum Tricia Helfer has booked a recurring role on another hit sci-fi series. She’ll guest star on season 2 of Playstation’s Powers as FBI Special Agent Lange, who shares a history and sexual tension with Detective Walker (Sharlto Copley). Lange walks a fine line between the Powers world and the government, becoming both ally and enemy when it suits her agenda. Powers is currently in production in Atlanta and will return in 2016. Pixar is already a shoo-in for next year’s Oscars with Inside Out, but the studio could have another hit on their hands in The Good Dinosaur. A brand new trailer for the film tells the emotional story of Arlo the Apatosaurus and his best friend, Spot. Together the two are the most unlikely of allies, especially since Arlo is afraid of almost everything. From first-time director Peter Sohn comes an animated tale full of heart. The Good Dinosaur premieres Nov. 25.
