Doctor Who returns in just two weeks, and fans can expect an “epic sweep to this season,” according to star Peter Capaldi. Great new villains, brilliant old ones, and some very scary creatures are on tap for season 9, as well as some exciting guest stars. Alex Kingston is set to reprise her role as River Song for this year’s Christmas Special, appearing alongside the Twelfth Doctor for the very first time. And Game of Thrones star Maisie Williams will also guest star, as a reportedly new character.
