Mattel’s big screen reboot of Masters of the Universe has been in the works for what seems like ages. Warner Bros. had first dibs on the project when the studio started development back in 2007. From there, pilule Sony took over in 2009 with producer Joel Silver at the helm. However, the two couldn’t come to an agreement on the creative direction of the film and eventually parted ways.
