‘The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2’ Trailer: The Game Is Coming To Its End
This fall, Lionsgate’s long-running Hunger Games franchise will draw to a close with the release of The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2. No longer willing to sit on the sidelines, Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) is at last bringing the fight to the Capitol, but President Snow (Donald Sutherland) isn’t one to go down quietly. The first trailer for the final film not only features the return of fan-favorite characters like Gale (Liam Hemsworth) and Peeta (Josh Hutcherson), but also many of Snow’s traps that he’s hidden throughtout the city. The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2 premieres Nov. 20, 2016.
‘Jurassic World’ Sequel Set for 2018
A sequel to this summer’s blockbuster Jurassic World is now officially on the way. After $1.52 billion in ticket sales and a spot as the no. 3 top-grossing film of all time, Universal Pictures wasted no time in scheduling the film for a June 22, 2018 release date. Stars Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard will return for the new film, while Colin Trevorrow and Derek Connolly will co-write the script. Trevorrow is not expected to direct the new installment. Charlie Rowe, Anya Taylor-Joy and More Up for Leads in John Green’s ‘Looking for Alaska’
Red Band Society star Charlie Rowe may have missed out on being cast as Marvel’s new Spider-Man, but he and Mitchell Hope (Disney Channel’s Descendants) are now the finalists for the male lead in John Green’s Looking for Alaska. And Anya Taylor-Joy is currently the frontrunner for the female lead, while Immy Waterhouse is also in the running. The 2005 novel follows a teen named Miles who goes to boarding school and meets a beautiful and mysterious classmate named Alaska Young. Scott Neustadter and Michael Weber, who also wrote The Fault In Our Stars and Paper Towns, are penning the script. Rebecca Thomas is set to direct. [The Wrap]
