‘League of Extraordinary Gentlemen’ Reboot in Development at Fox
Forget Sean Connery — there could be a new The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen coming to the big screen. 20th Century Fox has started development on a reboot of Alan Moore’s 1999 comic book series, which was already adapted into a 2003 movie starring Connery and almost became a TV show on FOX in 2013. The graphic novels feature a cast of Victorian literary characters, including Allan Quatermain, Captain Nemo, Mina Murray, Dr. Jekyll/Mr. Hyde, and ‘The Invisible Man’ Hawley Griffin, who use their powers and skills to save the world from destruction. Davis Entertainment (The Man from U.N.C.L.E.) is producing this new adaptation. [Variety]

Swinton will play Strange’s mentor, a Tibetan mystic known as the Ancient One who trains pupils to be the next sorcerer supreme.
