Bob Saget and Lori Loughlin Are Officially On Board for ‘Fuller House’
Netflix’s Full House sequel just got a lot fuller. Lori Loughlin confirmed early Thursday on Good Morning America that she’ll be back as Aunt Becky for the one-hour premiere of Fuller House. But John Stamos has now revealed that Tanner patriarch Bob Saget is also returning. The two actors will join Stamos and Dave Coulier in the reunion episode, alongside the series’ stars Candace Cameron-Bure, Jodie Sweetin and Andrea Barber. Fuller House follows a pregnant and recently widowed D.J. Tanner-Fuller (Cameron-Bure), living in San Francisco with her aspiring musician sister Stephanie Tanner (Sweetin) and BFF and single mom Kimmy Gibbler (Barber). The series is set to debut in 2016. ‘Shadowhunters’ Adds Jon Cor to the Cast
The werewolf student from Being Human has become the Institute’s teacher on Shadowhunters. Jon Cor is the latest actor to join ABC Family’s upcoming fantasy drama. He’ll play Hodge Starkweather, a weapons trainer at the New York Institute and a former member of Valentine’s Circle. The series centers on Clary Fray (Katherine McNamara), who on her 18th birthday finds out she comes from a long line of Shadowhunters — human-angel hybrids who hunt down demons. Shadowhunters will premiere in 2016. [TVLine]
Disney Not Moving Forward With ‘Tron 3’
It’s game over for Tron 3. Disney has decided not to move forward with the sci-fi sequel. While the studio never officially greenlit the movie, production was scheduled to begin this fall in Vancouver. Tron: Legacy director Joseph Kosinski was returning to direct, and stars Olivia Wilde and Garrett Hedlund were reprising their roles. Disney had even hoped to add Jared Leto to the cast, though no deals or discussions ever took place. [THR]
