‘Arrow’ and ‘The Flash’ Spinoff Casts Franz Drameh as Jay Jackson
The cast of The CW’s upcoming Arrow/The Flash spinoff is finally complete. British actor Franz Drameh (Attack the Block) will play Jay Jackson, as the last newcomer, following Ciara Renee and Arthur Darvill, to join the series. A former high school athlete whose pro-career was derailed by injury, Jay’s now making ends meets as an auto mechanic. He will come to have a surprising affiliation to the S.T.A.R. Labs crew. Previous details described him as “a regular, street smart guy who unexpectedly gains powers, and then as part of the team regularly quips about the insanity of the situations,” leading many to believe he could turn out to be Static Shock or even Wally West. The untitled drama will also star existing cast members Brandon Routh, Wentworth Miller, Dominic Purcell, Victor Garber and Caity Lotz. [TVLine]
