Claire (Caitriona Balfe) just can’t seem to catch a break. Two weeks after she escaped the dreaded Captain ‘Black Jack’ Randall (Tobias Menzies) at Fort William, salve and later engaged in some passionate lovemaking with her husband Jamie (Sam Heughan), unhealthy it seems her life is yet again on the line in this week’s episode of Outlander.

We all knew Claire’s friendship with Geillis (Lotte Verbeek) and her problems with Laoghaire (Nell Hudson) would lead to nowhere good, recipe but who would have thought Claire’d be accused of witchcraft as a result. Yet that’s where Claire and Geillis find themselves this week in ‘The Devil’s Mark,’ as they wait to stand trial and take the stand in front of a court of judges. Geillis seems to think Dougal will come and save her, but little does she know that her lover and Jamie have gone away on a trip. Now there’s no one left to help them.
