It’s almost time for the Devil to be released. Blind lawyer Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) grew up in Hell’s Kitchen and watched his city be overrun by corruption. But in the first full-length trailer for Marvel’s newest series Daredevil, he’ll use his gifts to make a difference and put an end to mob crimelord Wilson Fisk (Vincent D’Onofrio). The 13-episode series from Steven S. DeKnight (Spartacus, Buffy the Vampire Slayer) premieres April 10th on Netflix. [YouTube]
Gillian Anderson and Jamie Dornan will return for one last season of The Fall, BBC Two announced today. Season two of the psychological crime thriller recently ended on a cliffhanger with serial killer Paul Spector (Dornan) almost dying in police detective Stella Gibson’s (Anderson) arms. Their final five-episode game of cat and mouse is expected to play out later this year, and the first two seasons can currently be seen on Netflix. [YouTube]
Flying and dancing elephants couldn’t get any crazier, unless of course they’re brought to life by the king of weird himself, Tim Burton. The Oscar-nominated filmmaker of Beetlejuice and Alice in Wonderland is attached to direct Disney’s live-action adaptation of animated classic Dumbo. Ehren Kruger, who wrote the last three Transformers movies, recently finished the script for the film, which will combine CGI and live-action to tell Dumbo’s unique story. [WSJ]
Queen Elizabeth I is coming to The CW’s Reign. First appearing in the season 2 finale, Fifty Shades of Grey and Lost Girl alum Rachel Skarst will play the Virgin Queen, whose presence has loomed over the first two seasons of the period drama. A threat to Mary, Queen of Scots’ life and happiness, she’ll be the driving force of events in season 3. [THR]
