On the heels of their success with The Walking Dead, cheap AMC recently decided to order a pilot for the Vertigo comic Preacher. Written by Garth Ennis and drawn by Steve Dillon, Preacher has been in development many times before, first as a film starring James Marsden, then as a series at HBO and finally as a film for Columbia Pictures. Of course, none of these projects ever made it to the screen, but it seems Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg’s adaptation at AMC is now ready to go the distance.
