Flash Forward (s1ep12): Revelation Zero (Part 2) – ***

[+] Nicole meets up with Tim the window washer, but she brings Bryce along just in case. She tells Tim about her underwater FF. He suggests maybe she was being baptized and just fainted. He thinks we’re only seeing snapshots and not a bigger picture. Tim:”It’s not fate vs. free will. It’s fate and free will.”
[+] Mark goes out to his car and discovers a pamphlet from a diner, the same phamplet that had ‘help us’ written on it. Simon and Lloyd must be somewhere in the area. It’s quite a conundrum that seeing the FF is helping him solve the FF. Flosso is threatening Lloyd by cutting off Simon’s finger.
[+] Bryce and Nicole go to her home to hang out and her mother is there making an awesome penny wall. She says coincidence is God at work. Hm… The thugs are now beating up Lloyd for information and Flosso threatens his son. The FBI thinks they’ve finally found where they’re hiding and are in pursuit. Lloyd finally admits they broke the electron barrier with their experiment. And they came close to finding tachyonic dark matter. The FBI arrive at the building and it turns out to be fake as it explodes.
[+] Vogel tells Demetri that he thinks if Mark saw the men in his FF, then they must have seen him. Bryce shows up at Sanctuary to talk to Tim about Nicole. Tim tells him he’s not out to her and just to spread love to everyone. Mark shows up at the old diner, but doesn’t see anything suspicious and leaves. As he’s driving away he remembers how in his FF Lloyd had mentioned a particular mark that he saw at that location. He quickly turns around and crashes through the building. He saves Lloyd and Simon just in time.
[+] It turns out Simon has been working with Flosso and also he’s Suspect Zero. We go to the day of the blackout and witness just how Simon was recruited by D. Gibbons, puts on a ring, the blackout happens, he meets with Flosso and gives back the ring to him. Simon is back at the hospital and Janice is guarding him.
[+] Mark is interrogating Lloyd who won’t talk. Simon fakes an allergic reaction to the medicine he was given at the hospital and escapes to Toronto…where Janice is again waiting. She’s figured it out. Simon says he’s just here to find his sister. Janice thinks there’s more to it, so she allows him to do what he wants for 24 hrs. Simon goes to take a shower and escapes…again.
[+] He goes to visit his professor, and Janice is there again. He’s there to ask him about the experiment. Simon:”Do you think the particle accelerator could have generated some sort of decoherence wave?”
Professor:”If your experiment unleashed a tachyon burst, then yes. Without a doubt it could have caused human consciousness to flashforward as the wave pushed through.”
Simon:”So, tell me. How do we create something to keep us int he here and now?”
Professor:”It’s impossible.”
…
Simon:”We have to anchor consciousness if another wave happens. It’s simply a matter of finding a way. We have to protect ourselves from the effects of another blackout. Now there’s nothing I can do about the 20 million that died on October 6, but please help me save the millions that will die if this happens again.”
[+] Back at his parent’s home, Janice is helping his mom make dinner. ‘Uncle Teddy’ is at the door aka Flosso. Bugger all. Flosso goes on with the small talk about Simon, until he mentions Simon’s father which causes Simon to remember the day of the blackout. Flosso had mentioned a hunting accident that killed Simon’s father and thus gave Simon an alibi for where he was the day of the blackout. Oh, how convenient right, Flosso? Turns out his FF of killing someone was really what happened after he found out how his father died. His sister calls, but as Flosso shows him she’s under duress and has been kidnapped by him. Flosso says he’s just the middle man. But has also killed Simon’s professor. He threatens his sister, Annabelle. Simon calls his bluff and kills him, too.
