There’s still four months to go until Outlander returns to our TV screens, cheapest
but we have a new preview for the second half of season 1, web
 introduced by stars Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe.

“These are dangerous times, herbal
mo nighean donn,” Jamie warns Claire at the start, and he’s really not kidding. The midseason finale ended with the menacing Captain Jack Randall (Tobias Menzies) about to rape Claire, but matters will only get worse for the couple when the remaining eight episodes premiere on Saturday, April 4, 2015.

In the video, we also get glimpses of Dougal clashing with Colum, Gellis accusing Claire of lying, and someone holding a naked Jamie at knife point. As Heughan puts it, “If you enjoyed the first half of the season, the second half of the season’s a lot darker.”

Yet amongst all the chaos, there’ll of course still be those tender moments we love so much between Jamie and Claire. You can see one in the new still above, and you’ll definitely swoon when Jamie says, “You are my home now” in the new preview below.

For those who need to catch up, Starz will air the first half of the season on Christmas Day.
