This October, see Supernatural returns for its 10th season on The CW. And while its still uncertain whether the series will be back for even more seasons after next year, the drama already has the full support of CW president Mark Pedowitz to continue on for “as long as they want.” So basically, if the ratings stay the same, with Supernatural in third place right behind Arrow and The Vampire Diaries, season 10 may not be the end of the Winchester brothers on TV.
That’s assuming, of course, that Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) make it out of this season alive. In the season 9 finale, Dean was killed by Metatron and turned into an unholy demon, due to the influence of the Mark of Cain he’d used to wield the First Blade and kill Abaddon. As a result, Sam will be forced to do some very questionable things this year in order to find his missing brother. Meanwhile, Castiel (Misha Collins) will be dealing with his own problems too, mainly his new mortality, and so everyone is in for a very rough ride.
