‘Arrow’ Season 3 Trailer Promises New Faces and New Love Interests
Oliver Queen is turning over a new leaf in the latest season 3 trailer for Arrow. In the promo, the reformed vigilante doesn’t waste any time asking Felicity on a date while in the midst of a high speed chase. Yet while new love is clearly in the air, there’s also a new face: Former Superman Returns star Brandon Routh makes his first appearance as Ray Palmer, otherwise known as superhero The Atom. Matt Nable Joins ‘Arrow’ as Ra’s Al Ghul
‘The Demon’ is coming to Starling City. Arrow star Stephen Amell revealed today that Matt Nable (Riddick) has been cast as villain Ra’s al Ghul. Last season, viewers met his daughter Nyssa, part of the League of Assassins, so it was only a matter of time before her father showed up in town. He’ll be introduced in the fourth episode of season 3, titled ‘The Magician,’ also the series’ 50th episode. The drama returns Oct. 8 at 8PM on The CW. [Facebook]
Frances O’Connor to Play Belle’s Mom on ‘Once Upon a Time’
Belle’s past before Rumple will finally be revealed. Once Upon a Time has cast Australian actress Frances O’Connor (Mr. Selfridge) as Belle’s mother, Collete. As previously reported, she’ll be introduced in the sixth episode of season 4 through flashbacks that show how much of an influence she had on Belle’s life. There’s also a possibility she’ll return later in the season. The new season premieres Sept. 28 at 8PM on ABC. [EW]

‘Supergirl’ Series in Development with Greg Berlanti
A female superhero may be coming to TV. Arrow and The Flash producer Greg Berlanti is developing a series based on the popular comic Supergirl. The project has not been pitched to the networks yet, but would be a new interpretation of the classic character and story. Ali Adler (Chuck) has been tapped to write the script. [Deadline]
