While all eyes may currently be on Star Wars: Episode VII, drugs which doesn’t release in theaters until late next year, Walt Disney Pictures and Lucasfilm’s first trip into canon together is actually the upcoming animated series Star Wars Rebels. Set between Episode III – Revenge of the Sith and Episode IV: A New Hope, Rebels will chronicle the creation of the Rebel Alliance, whose mission is to take down the tyrannical Galactic Empire and restore the Republic.

In a series of character videos, fans were introduced to the series’ leads, Jedi Kanan (Freddie Prinze Jr.), Twi’lek pilot Hera (Vanessa Marshall), alien warrior Zeb (Steven Blum) and Mandalorian Sabine (Tiya Sircar). These four along with new recruit Ezra (Taylor Gray) are instrumental in getting the Rebel Alliance up and running, but of course, they must also contend with Rebel hunters like Agent Kallus (David Oyelowo) and The Inquisitor (Jason Isaacs).
