‘Eureka’ Star Colin Ferguson Heads to ‘The Vampire Diaries’
A new adversary is coming to Mystic Falls. The CW’s The Vampire Diaries has cast former Eureka star Colin Ferguson in a pivotal role for its upcoming sixth season, which is said to be a return to basics for the show. First appearing in the premiere, he’ll play Tripp, a handsome, strong and disciplined community militia leader whose young trainees will do whatever it takes to protect ‘his town.’ Responding to the news, executive producer Julie Plec added on Twitter, “He’s in town to give Sheriff Forbes (Marguerite MacIntyre) a run for her money.” [THR]

Fox Releases New Show Posters for Comic-Con
San Diego Comic-Con is only one week away, and Fox has released new posters for its hit shows to promote the event. Continuing the message from the first teaser, the poster for Sleepy Hollow features an armored headless horseman that proclaims, ‘War is coming.’ Not to be outdone, the poster for The Following touts, “Joe Carroll was just the beginning,” while Bones knows just what fans want to see, namely David Boreanaz and Emily Deschanel getting close. ABC Reveals Fall 2014 Premiere Dates
Serving up the network’s strongest lineup in recent years, ABC has revealed its premiere dates for fall 2014. The new season begins Sept. 15 as Dancing With the Stars takes center stage, followed next by the series premiere of Forever on Sept. 22. The fantasy drama will then join Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. on Sept. 23 with another episode in its regular timeslot, before giving way to Nashville on Sept. 24. A full evening of Shonda Rhimes starts Sept. 25, as Grey’s Anatomy, Scandal, and new series How to Get Away With Murder take over Thursday nights. On Sunday, Once Upon a Time, Resurrection and Revenge return Sept. 28, a day before Castle on Sept. 29. More premiere dates can be found on the ABC Press Site.
