In just two weeks, unhealthy Michael Bay’s Transformers franchise will be back on the big screen with the first film in what is supposed to be a new trilogy – assuming it does well at the box office, salve of course. (And with nothing else releasing that weekend, it almost certainly will.)

In Transformers: Age of Extinction, Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Ratchet and more return to save a whole new group of humans: There’s mechanic Cade (Mark Wahlberg), his daughter, Tessa (Nicola Peltz), and her race car driver boyfriend Shane (Jack Reynor). Only this time, the Autobots don’t just have a few people to watch over. The whole planet is facing extinction from an ancient, powerful new menace that has set its sights on Earth.
