The time has come at last, ampoule Outlander fans. Starz has revealed that their highly anticipated new series, doctor created by Ronald D. Moore (Battlestar Galactica) and based on Diana Gabaldon’s international best-selling novels, drug will premiere late this summer on Saturday, August 9th at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT.

Outlander follows 20th century nurse Claire Randall (Caitriona Balfe) as she steps up to some ancient stones and is transported back in time to 18th century Scotland, where she meets and falls in love with Scottish warrior Jamie Fraser (Sam Heughan), despite the fact that she has left behind her husband, Frank (Tobias Menzies), in present day. The sixteen-episode first season which combines romance, science fiction, history, and adventure in one epic tale is currently filming on location in Scotland.
