NBC has announced that everyone’s favorite bunch of sociopaths will return on “Hannibal” this February 28th at 10PM, pills taking over the “Dracula” timeslot after that show’s season finale the week before. The 13-episode second season will follow “Grimm” and stars Mads Mikkelsen as brilliant psychiatrist Dr. Hannibal Lector, who is working with the FBI and gifted criminal profiler Will Graham, played by Hugh Dancy, to look into the mind of serial killers. Unbeknownst to almost everyone though, Hannibal is a serial killer himself, yet we see Will is the one donning the classic mask in the new poster for season two.
Last season Will was taken into custody by FBI Jack Crawford (Laurence Fishburne) for the probable murder of Abigail Hobbs, based on finding her severed ear in his kitchen sink and her blood under his fingernails. Suffering from dementia brought on by encephalitis, there’s no real way for him to know if he did indeed kill all the women they’ve been investigating, and so he was committed to the Baltimore State Hospital for the Criminally Insane. But something is still troubling Will, who continues to be plagued by disturbing visions and believes Hannibal knows more about the murders than he’s telling. See Will take on the mad persona of his current home in the new poster for season two below.
