Plus, the show was just renewed for a second season! Now, I’m really here because I want to talk about this week’s “The Unusual Suspects.” It was was an episode that started off crazy, kept you guessing, and finished off with a surprising cliffhanger. It was so good.
Gary: Bill doesn’t like being in jail, he likes putting people in jail. Two different things.
Cameron’s the newest recruit to the Alphas team, so it’d make sense he’d be the least trustworthy, right? Yet, all season long we’ve gotten enough development for all the characters to be able to both question and be sure we know each of them. And that’s where the exciting part of this episode comes into play.
When Cley takes all the Alphas into custody after thinking there’s a traitor on the team, everyone is now a suspect in working with Red Flag. Could it be Gary who’s still on friendly terms with Red Flag member Anna? Is it Nina who has grudge with the government and a criminal past? Or Cameron who’s new and has been mind controlled to do Red Flag’s bidding before? Maybe even Rosen since he’s not an Alpha and sympathizes with Red Flag’s plight.
I’ve decided to not say who the mole actually turns out to be (because this episode is so much fun), but I expect you’ll spend the whole time trying to figure out like I did. You’ll definitely look at each character differently throughout the entire hour. And then, when it’s all over, prepare for, I believe, the season’s first cliffhanger.
Notes:
Cameron has kicked all kinds of ass all season. He’s the one who lasted the longest in the opening teaser when trying to get away from Cley’s men. And he put on an awesome show when fighting against Bill later in the episode. His ability makes for some interesting advantages.
Next week:
Red Flag vs The Team. But wait, Dr. Rosen has a daughter? Is she an Alpha? It’s the season finale, and I’m crying already.
