Review: ‘A’ is taking us down, one at a time.

A’ really isn’t getting any nicer. First, she ran over Hanna with a car last season. And this season’s she been stepping up her ‘A’-game each week and targeting the girls one by one. It’s no longer about making their lives miserable, but making them a living hell. Which one of the Pretty Little Liars will break first?

In “Save the Date,” one of the liars ends up in the hospital, giving the other two a chance to peruse the local morgue records and find out how Allison died once and for all.

Is it just me or has ‘A’ been extra vindictive lately? Guess she/he must be getting annoyed by some of the storylines this season, too. (The Jason triangle, bringing back Hanna’s dad, etc.)

This week, we learn ‘A’ has been putting chemicals, Human Growth Hormone, in Emily’s pain creme for weeks now. That’s serious business which has now landed her in the hospital with an ulcer. Then, ‘A’ even shows up at the hospital to gloat about it. Can you imagine how creepy it would be to find out ‘A’ was at your hospital and leaving you clues in your food?

But more important is the new information revealed about the girl who’s already dead, Alison. Spencer and Aria visit the morgue to check Alison’s death records and find out that not only was the Alison hit on the head with a curved blunt object, probably that hockey stick from last week, but she was then buried alive. If ‘A’ killed Alison, then she really is a twisted bitch.

Ezra: Here I was hoping you’d be at the potter’s wheel, so I could wrap my arms around you and hum “Unchained Melody.”

Meanwhile, Ezra and Aria, or at least Ezra, were all kinds of adorable reenacting the pottery scene from Ghost. Could they be any cuter? Thank god someone, Ezra, is making a move towards sharing and trust in their relationship. If only Aria could return the favor instead of hiding behind her supposed feelings for Jason. I’m still not clear what that’s all about. I’m just glad Ezra is being the mature one and actually asking whether there’s something going without Jason. Too bad Aria had to lie.

Continuing on from last week, Garrett and Jenna realize the liars have found out about him. Jenna’s response: “We need to take care of this.” What do Garrett and Jenna know, and just what are they hiding?

Not as important, but someone is following Caleb this week. And my bet is it’s someone related to him.
