There’s still two more days of Comic-Con left to go, and I’m already exhausted by all the news and goodies we’ve been getting. And I’m not even there, so I can’t imagine what it must be like for all the fans experiencing it in person. Serious overload.
Today were the panels for tv fan favorites such as Torchwood, The Walking Dead, Thundercats, Alphas, and True Blood. And in films, Spiderman, Total Recall, Fright Night, Raven, Haywire, and Ghost Rider 2.
Television, Day Two
Easily one of the fall’s most anticipated season premieres, a teaser for season 3 of Vampire Diaries has been released. The teaser actually only contains old footage from season 2, but it does hint at the drama that will plague our heroes come September 15. It should be an interesting season. I can’t wait. [TV Guide]
Syfy’s new hit series Alphas had their panel today at Comic-Con, and E!Online was on the scene to give us the scoop. First, the EP confirmed what we already suspected: the show will not be an Alpha of the week series. And second, if you didn’t have a good reason to watch Alphas, here’s a few more: Brent Spiner (Star Trek:TNG), Summer Glau (Firefly, TSCC), and Garret Dillahunt (TSCC) will all guest star on the upcoming season. Yay! [Twitter]
From the Torchwood panel, Jane Espenson passed on an interesting tidbit on whether the show would be getting darker soon: “”If you are feeling hungry for dark chocolate and you’ve been eating milk chocolate, wait for episode 5.” Renewed excitement, activated.
The most talked about trailer today was for AMC’s The Walking Dead. Now, I personally didn’t care for the first season beyond the pilot, but after seeing the riveting trailer for myself, I’m willing to give it another chance. [EW]
One little tidbit on Thundercats: Larry Kenney who voiced the original Lion-O will now be the voice of Lion-O’s dad Claudius. Is that cool or what? [Twitter]
Prepare your computers and bandwidth, the new webseries H+ premiered a trailer at Comic-Con yesterday. Produced by Bryan Singer, H+ takes place in a near-future world where an innovative piece of technology leads to the death of billions of people. The trailer looks awesome and the cinematography is gorgeous. It’s an awesome time we live in when a webseries can look just as good as a tv series. Oh, and see if you can spot Alexis Denisof from Angel in the trailer. [IGN]

Yesterday, I linked to the new trailer for In Time from director Andrew Niccol, but today I’m sharing some beautiful new posters for In Time, Haywire, Contagion, Moneyball, and The Raven. Deadline has posted the trailer for Soderbergh’s Haywire on their site. [/Film, Deadline]
Robert Pattinson is having a busy year. He finished up the Twilight franchise, filmed Bel Ami, and wrapped Cosmopolis just last week. And it’s a good thing he’s been busy, too, because the fans’ appetites haven’t gone away. The teaser for Bel Ami was released today, and it spent hours trending on Twitter. And I must say, I think the teaser shows off his best work, yet. [YouTube]
Still filming out there, some of the mystery behind the Avengers got a little clearer today with exclusive artwork of Hawkeye and Black Widow. May 2012 can’t come soon enough. [Dark Horizons]
