Why yes, I’m drinking the CW Kool-Aid. Pay no attention to the fact my personal fall schedule just doubled with shows to watch. 2011 Upfronts are now done as CW has presented the same schedule that’s been rumored for a few days now. Complete with a Josh Schwartz night and a Kevin Williamson night. There seems to now be a renewed excitement in the air for the 2011-2012 tv season. Is it fall yet?
THE CW’s 2011-2012 PRIMETIME SCHEDULE

9:00-10:00 PM HART OF DIXIE (New Series)
TUESDAY

9:00-10:00 PM RINGER (New Series)
WEDNESDAY
8:00-9:00 PM H8R (New Series)
9:00-10:00 PM America’s Next Top Model
THURSDAY

9:00-10:00 PM THE SECRET CIRCLE (New Series)
FRIDAY
8:00-9:00 PM Nikita (New Night)
9:00-10:00 PM Supernatural
I finished reading the script for Ringer last night, and at first I just thought it was a bit cliched. As I kept reading though, I started to get more interested in seeing where the series would go. So, I suggest you check it out and see if it’s your cup of tea. If it helps at all, it stars Sarah Michelle Gellar, Ioan Gruffudd, and Life Unexpected’s Kristoffer Polaha.
The Secret Circle script was also underwhelming, but I hear its been rewritten by Kevin Williamson since he became the showrunner. It does have a lot of interesting material to use, and if anyone is up to the challenge it’s him. I’m also excited to see Life Unexpected’s Britt Robertson and Terminator: Sarah Connor Chronicles’ Thomas Dekker back on tv. It’s going to be a great night of tv on Thursdays with both Vampire Diaries and The Secret Circle.
I’m hearing that Hart of Dixie harkens back to the old WB days and is a lot like Everwood in theme. I’ve been getting really nostalgic lately to the WB days, so I bring it on!
Nikita was awesome last season, and ordinarily I’d be upset to see it moved to Friday, but it’ll be in good company with Supernatural. If you haven’t seen it yet, you can catch up this summer.
CW would probably take over my schedule if Gossip Girl was actually good again and 90210 was ever good at all. Otherwise, I’m glad to see one network taking a chance with some different kinds of shows.

It’s done. What does your final schedule look like?
I don’t watch it, but I noticed that Hellcats isn’t included in the CW’s fall line up. Has it been canceled?
Yup, canceled. I heard some people liked it, but in a guilty pleasure it’s so bad it’s good kind of way.
Aww, I like Hellcats. We’re only about 10 episodes into it in the UK. Sorry to hear it’s been cancelled…mostly because I love Dan Patch! ; D
Secret Circle looks good though. I’ll also look forward to Grimm and Once Upon A Time hitting the UK!
I’ve heard that, too. The love for Dan Patch. ;)
I’ve heard the promo for Secret Circle that was shown at the Upfront was much better than the one released.
I guess I’ll try Ringer and Secret Circle because I too will be happy to see Britt and Thomas back on tv again. And considering how much I disliked TVD’s pilot and how wrong I was I am definitely willing to give it a chance.
Are you going to read the books? I’ve chosen not to read the TVD ones so I probably won’t read those either.
That’s what Wikipedia is for, reading summaries of things so you don’t have to read the works themselves. So yeah, I’ve read them. ;)
Really cannot wait for Secret Circle and Ringer… Hope both shows will do great this fall !
